FILLMORE TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Ronald Freeman, 47, of Hamilton is dead after a crash ejected him from his motorcycle Sunday morning.

State troopers responded to the crash at 12:50am at the intersection of 48th Street and 142nd Avenue.

Troopers say the driver of a Toyota Land Rover was following a Harley Davidson Motorcycle south on 48th Street when both vehicles failed to stop for the stop sign at 142nd.

The Land Rover ran into the back of the motorcycle, ejecting Freeman.  Both vehicles then left the roadway.

Freeman was airlifted to Spectrum Hospital where he later died of his injuries.

Troopers say he was not wearing a helmet and believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.

The driver of the Land Rover was taken into custody and will be arraigned on operating while intoxicated causing death.
