FERRYSBURG, Mich – A Grand Haven man was hospitalized following an afternoon crash on Wednesday.

It happened along the on ramp for southbound U.S. 31 off M-104 just after noon.  Deputies say 53-year-old Jeffrey Wood of Grand Haven rear ended a vehicle driven by 64-year-old Sherry Lyons of Ferrysburg.  Lyons wasn’t hurt in the crash.

Wood suffered a medical emergency both during and after the crash that investigators say contributed to the incident.  He was transported to North Ottawa Community Hospital and is listed in stable condition.

The crash remains under investigation by the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department.
