Michigan natives finish first in River Bank Run 5K and 10K

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — The results are in! The winners of the 2016 Fifth Third River Bank Run 5K are Alex Russeau of Dundee and Sarah Boyle of Brighton.

Russeau was the first male to finish with a time of 14:42.45. Boyle was the first female to finish, she crossed the finish line at 15:49.26.

A total of 3,566 people ran the 5K race through downtown Grand Rapids Saturday morning.

The 10K started shortly after. Russeau also finished first in that race with a time of 30:59.14.

Boyle too ran the 10K, she was the second woman to finish with a time of 35:05.58.  Veronicah Maina from Lansing was the first, she crossed the finish line with a time of 34:14.13.
