WYOMING, Mich. --Two teen boys accused of stabbing and beating another teen to death in a Wyoming park were bound over for trial Wednesday.

Quentin Schafer, 15, and confessed killer Carlos Delgado, 15, were charged as adults in the March killing of 16-year-old Michael White.

White was a junior at Wyoming High School when a neighbor found his body in Lions Park in Wyoming March 19. At a previous memorial, friends and family told FOX 17 White was a "barrier breaker," someone who would make friends and connected groups of people easily.

During the preliminary hearing Wednesday an investigating officer described bloody jeans and clothing seized with a search warrant inside Delgado's bedroom. Police testimony stated brass knuckles, a knife handle, and then later the knife blade were found within 25 feet of White's body in Lions Park.

The prosecutor cited reports stating the DNA on some pieces of evidence belonged to White and Schafer. Specifically, the DNA found on the brass knuckles belonged to Schafer "based upon the Caucasian population database: one in 47.06 nonillion," according to reports.  Nonillion essentially means a number plus 30 zeroes.

The doctor who performed White's autopsy testified that White had more than 20 stab and "sharp force" wounds, as well as at least five areas of major blunt force trauma to his head, including "fractures to the upper and lower jaw."

The defense argued that Schafer could have injured his hands from something other than the brass knuckles.
