Byron Center’s Tena Baar throws no-hitter in district opener win

BYRON CENTER, Mich.-- Byron Center beat Wyoming, 8-1, to open district play on Tuesday.  Bulldogs pitcher Tena Baar hit a three-run home run in the first inning and then went on to pitch a no-hitter, striking out 17 batters.  Byron Center advances to face defending state runner-up Caledonia on Saturday.
