– Detroit Police have arrested the suspect wanted in an Amber Alert. According to police, 45-year-old Gregory Walker was arrested in Toledo Thursday morning but the Amber Alert was still active.

Detroit Police say they found the body of 13-year-old Deontae Mitchell in a Detroit field near Harper and Baldwin just before 8:45 a.m. Thursday.

Walker and a female companion were both arrested in Toledo. During a press conference on Thursday, Detroit Police Chief James Craig would not elaborate into how the suspects were arrested but did say they were taken in without incident.

Detroit Police also announced two other suspects are wanted in connection to the boy’s abduction: Ernest Coleman and Roy Portis.

Detroit police did not elaborate how the two were involved in the boy’s abduction.

Craig said a firearm was recovered in their search but cannot confirm it is the one the suspect is seen carrying in the video.

The 13-year-old boy was abducted from Nino’s on Warren on the city’s east side around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday.

On Thursday, investigators executed a search warrant at a home in the 5200 block of Manistique. Investigators confirmed they found evidence related to the abduction but did not elaborate what the evidence is.

Mitchell was with his cousin riding their bikes on east Warren when it’s believed Walker grabbed him by the arm and forced him into the vehicle.

Surveillance video shows the suspect grabbing Deontae Mitchell by the arm last night and forcing him into a black Chevrolet Impala ending with the video showing the vehicle driving away.

Walker was seen on video carrying a nickel-plated revolver and has a history of crimes and is on parole for grand theft auto.
