CEDAR HILL, Texas — It was a lunch break they'll likely never forget.

Two officers in Cedar Hill, Texas, met an unexpected guest while they were grabbing a bite to eat.

According to the police department's Facebook page, Marshals Herron and Wallace had just sat down at their table when they were approached by 5-year-old Chloe.

She had a very specific request: she asked if she could pray with them before they ate.

Of course they agreed, and the photo taken by Chloe's dad, now posted on Facebook, has been liked and shared thousands of times.

One person commented, "Makes me want to pack up and move to your town. She is a great ambassador for your town."

Chloe's dad Jared also commented, thanking everyone for their kind words and saying in part.

"The appreciation goes both ways, and we thank you and your fellow officers for your service because it extends beyond protection, and for two little girls it's connecting with real life heroes," he wrote.

I wonder…if I go to Cedar Hill, Texas’ local Fox news website, can I read an article on local happenings in Grand Rapids? You know…if their news is here, maybe ours is there right? Or does ours just get sent randomly to various other Fox local news sites? That would make it really difficult. All I know is that there is a ton going on in town right now and I’d like to read about it without resorting to Mlive. If that is not too much to ask…

And yet here you are reading and commenting on a story from Cedar Hill, Texas. All I know is that there are a ton of local stories for you to comment on, if that is not too much to ask. It’s a great story and I’m glad Fox17 shared it.
