GALESBURG, Mich. — Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a late-night crash that sent three people to the hospital with minor injuries.

Two cars collided around Thursday at around 10:25 p.m. on E. Michigan Ave in Comstock Township.  Police say it happened when a driver attempted to pass another vehicle by using a turn lane. There was a car coming from the other direction already attempting to use that turn lane, and there was a crash.  One of the vehicles had come to rest on the nearby railroad tracks.

All three occupants of both vehicles suffered minor injuries. Police say high speeds and possibly alcohol were factors in this crash.
