EAST GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Bass season just opened and people are hitting area lakes around West Michigan, including local lakes like Reeds Lake.

We'll be checking out other local lakes throughout the season, including Millennium Park next week.

Al & Bob's are once again offering weekly prizes for the best bass photos of the season.  The week runs from Tuesday to Tuesday and the winners will be announced on Friday.  The size of the fish matters, but the quality of the picture is also important.

There is an adult prize and a youth prize.  The grand prize for adults is a four-hour fishing adventure with Thunder Duck Charters of Grand Haven.  The grand prize for youth is a $150 fishing equipment package.  The contest runs through July 5.

The winners for week two were Trent O'Bryant and Hunter Grover.
