HOLLAND, Mich. — A Holland man was arraigned on several charges after allegedly stealing a vehicle late last month.

This week, Anton Joseph Garcia, 19 of Holland, appeared in 58th District Court on charges of driving while his license was suspended, as well as resisting and obstructing.

Holland Police said Garcia reportedly stole a tan Chevy Yukon on May 31, from the 1100 block of South Washington in Holland. Police later said the owner of the SUV noticed the stolen vehicle leaving the area of 40th Street and South Washington. Authorities soon responded and the suspect crashed the vehicle into a ditch before running off.

The suspect was  soon arrested with the help of the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office.

Garcia was released on bond after appearing in court, but police said he could face stolen property charges as well.
