LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Gov. Rick Snyder has extended an order that allows truckers transporting fuel in Michigan to spend more time on the road.

Snyder extended an energy emergency Friday in response to pipeline interruptions in Wisconsin and Detroit. He suspended state and federal rules related to limits on hours and days that a trucker can be on the road.

The order lasts through June 22 for the Upper Peninsula and Cheboygan County, and through June 13 for the rest of Michigan.

Snyder says a fuel pipeline in Wisconsin still is down. The Marathon refinery in Detroit is operating again but it needs time to build up inventory.
