GENEVA TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Crews are working around the clock to clean up diesel fuel at a Van Buren County farm.

The Wolverine Pipe Line Co. said Saturday afternoon that crews of approximately 35 workers per shift have been working on the cleanup and repair effort.

The damage was caused when a farmer accidentally struck an eight-inch Wolverine line while doing excavation work Friday. Wolverine said approximately 8,400 gallons of diesel fuel spilled from the line.

The fuel was contained to the farm field.
