Police arrest man after threatening girlfriend with gun

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — A man is in custody after police say he threatened his girlfriend.

It happened around 10 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of Oneita Street. When Battle Creek Police Department officers got there, they say the woman told them that her live-in boyfriend had threatened her with a gun.

Officers did contact the suspect, and after a short altercation they took him into custody.

The 35-year-old faces a number of felony charges including assault.
