LAKE MICHIGAN – A strong northwest wind means Tuesday is our first official High Beach Hazard Risk of the summer of 2016.

Waves up to five feet high will cause dangerous swimming conditions and strong currents all along the eastern shore of Lake Michigan, from St. Joseph to Manistee.  The National Weather Service advises for people to avoid going out on the piers into the lake.

The conditions will continue into this evening. For the complete forecast, click here.
