Holland police captain retiring after 30 years

Capt. Jack Dykstra

HOLLAND, Mich. – Holland Police Captain Jack Dykstra is retiring at the end of the week.

Captain Dykstra has been with the Holland Police for nearly 30 years after starting as a cadet back in 1987. He has spent his entire life in Holland and has been a well-known part of the community.

Dykstra is moving to the private sector, where he is taking a role in health, safety and environment management for a local company.

Dykstra has been captain since 2005.
