GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – A Muskegon man has been sentenced to eight years in federal prison for drug, firearms and witness tampering charges.

Larry Dwayne Diggs, 24, was sentenced in Grand Rapids federal court Tuesday morning.  He will also serve three years of supervised release after his sentence.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office says that Diggs, also known as “Montana” and “Montie”, pleaded guilty in February to one count of possessing “crack” cocaine and that he was one his way to selling it to a customer on July 2, 2015.  He also had a stolen Glock pistol on him at the time.  The U.S. Attorney’s Office says that Diggs then also “engaged in a campaign of witness tampering in an effort to avoid responsibility for his crimes.”
