Victims of Kalamazoo bicycle crash identified

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — The names of the victims of Tuesday night's bicycle crash have been released by the Kalamazoo County Prosecutor's Office.  All the victims were part of the Chain Gang Cycling Club.

Fred Anton (Tony) Nelson, 73, and Lorenz (Larry) Paulik, 74, both of Kalamazoo, were members of the St. Thomas More Catholic Student Parish.

The church will be holding a prayer service Thursday night at 7:00pm in support of all those affected by the crash.  The church is at 421 Monroe Street in Kalamazoo.

Debbie Bradley, 53, of Augusta was also part of the group.  She was a member of St. Anne's Parish in Gull Lake.

Suzanne Sippel, 56,  and Melissa Ann Fevig-Hughes, 42,  both of Augusta, were also killed in the crash.

The four injured cyclists are:

  • Paul Gobble, 47, of Richland - Serious condition
  • Sheila Jeske, 53, of Richland - Serious condition
  • Paul Runnels, 65, of Richland - Serious condition
  • Jennifer Johnson, 40, of Kalamazoo - Fair condition
