NEW YORK (CNN) — Rob Lowe is about to get roasted. Comedy Central has announced that the 54-year-old ‘Parks and Recreation’ star is its next Hollywood victim.

“Rob Lowe is handsome, talented, successful and handsome. He needs to be roasted,” Kent Alterman, president of Comedy Central said in a statement.

The ‘Comedy Central Roast of Rob Lowe’ has yet to be taped, but Lowe doesn’t seem to be worried about getting in the hot seat.

“What a thrill to once again be following in Justin Bieber’s footsteps,” Lowe said. “I look forward to a night of hilarious jokes recycled from the James Franco Roast. I would like to express my gratitude to the members of my family who have passed away and therefore will not have to endure what promises to be a very special evening.”

Comedy Central is known to ruthlessly humiliate Hollywood stars during this particular special. Past roastees include Roseanne Barr, Charlie Sheen, Donald Trump and most recently, the Biebs.

‘The West Wing’ star’s long Hollywood career has definitely generated plenty of great material. There was his infamous sex scandal in back in 1988, and more recently he launched line of antiaging products for men.

Lowe also released a 2011 autobiography entitled, ‘Stories I Only Tell My Friends,’ which will most certainly help fuel his roast.
