BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Two Battle Creek police officers teamed to save 10 baby ducks from a storm sewer.

According to the Battle Creek Police Department, a family from Ohio returned to their car after watching Friday evening’s Grand Cereal Parade and saw that about 10 ducklings had fallen down into the sewer.

They called for help and BCPD Sgt. Doug Bagwell and Sgt. Todd Elliott arrived and were able to get the sewer grate open. Bagwell then went down into the storm sewer and handed the ducklings up to Elliott.

The baby ducks were then reunited with their mother.
