BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – Police are investigation the death of a 45-year-old woman from over the weekend as a homicide.

Liza Haney-Nelson was found dead Saturday night about 9:00pm at her apartment on Anderson Court. Police say an autopsy on Sunday confirmed her death as a homicide and says that she died from head trauma.  Haney-Nelson appeared to have been dead for a couple of days when she was found.

Police say that they are looking for Haney-Nelson’s boyfriend Oliver Paige, 58, who is being called a person of interest at this time. Paige has been arrested numerous times for domestic violence in the past.

Major Jim Grafton with the Battle Creek Police says Paige is not a suspect at this time, and that they would like to interview him and see if he knows anything about what happened to Haney-Nelson.

Attempts at finding Paige have not proved fruitful. Grafton says that since her death was reported they haven’t been able to track him down.
