BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Binder Park Zoo is called home to more than 600 animals from all over the world, with each of these animals requiring a very particular care plan. The zoo is seeking donations to assist with the purchase of a new digital x-ray machine to keep up with their needs.

Binder Park Zoo’s current x-ray equipment is outdated, using film that needs to be developed with chemicals in a darkroom.

Digital x-ray technology will help to properly and efficiently help each and every animal, but it comes with a price. One of these systems typically runs around $50,000.
