Wednesday afternoon, Jason Kohlhoff was arraigned on six counts of attempted murder and six counts of firearms possession.  The six counts of attempted murder are for the standoff involving four troopers, one sergeant and one emergency medical technician.  All attempted murder charges carry a possibility of life in prison if convicted.  Bond was set for $3.25 million.

The standoff started around 10:30am when Michigan State Police went to the home of Jason Kohlhoff in the 3400 block of County Road 681 in Geneva Township. They approached Kohlhoff, 41, because of alleged threat he had made to an Allegan County official.  Police say Kohlhoff was uncooperative and aggressive and was armed with a long gun.  He allegedly fired a shot at the ground and barricaded himself in the home.
