John Ball Zoo has a new addition to the family, and his name is Bazoo!

Bazoo is a Mexican hairy dwarf porcupine, also known as a Mexican tree porcupine. They like to live in trees, and unlike the North American porcupine, they look more furry and have a long tail to help them climb trees.

In addition to cool animals, John Ball Zoo offers overnight camps. Groups can sign up and spend the night at the zoo, in addition to getting close-ups of animal demonstrations, hands-on activities, and see the nocturnal animals in action.

For more information on exhibits or to reserve your group for an overnight camp, you can call them at (616) 336-4301.
