Reminding the kids to do their chores, brush their teeth, and do their homework can sometimes become a chore itself.
This crafty chore chart will give the kids something fun to do for a couple hours, as well as remind them of the chores and tasks they have to do for the day.
Materials:
- Foam, cardboard, or construction paper (anything that can hang off a doorknob)
- Markers
- Stickers
- Clothespins
First, cut out a rectangle out of the foam, cardboard or construction paper. Then cut a hole towards the top of the paper so the chart can hang on a doorknob.
Take the clothespins and write one chore or task on each one. Have your child decorate the chart to their heart's content.
Once they're done decorating, clip all the clothespins to one side of the chart and hang it on their bedroom door. When they complete a chore, they can take the pin off the chart, flip it over so the words don't show, and pin it to the other side of the chart.
Then the next day, they can flip the chart over and all the tasks will be ready to review.
