ALLENDALE, Mich. –  A 47-year-old Allendale woman has been arrested in a parental kidnapping case.

The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office says Michelle Marie Andrews was arrested Friday in the area of 64th and Lake Michigan Drive after police received a tip.   Her 3-year-old daughter was located at a relative’s residence in Grand Rapids.  The girl was unharmed and is now in the custody of Child Protective Services.

Andrews is facing charges of parental kidnapping and resisting/obstructing arrest.

She was ordered to surrender her daughter to CPS June 21 and was supposed to appear in family court to discuss issues with parenting, according to the sheriff’s office.

Officials issued an alert to the public Friday asking for information on Andrews and her daughter’s whereabouts.
