Washington (CNN) — Hillary Clinton leads Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential race, two new polls of registered voters show — but they differ on the size of her advantage.

A Washington Post/ABC News survey shows Clinton ahead by 12 points, 51% to 39%.

A Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll, meanwhile, pegs Clinton’s lead at 5 points, 46% to 41%.

Trump is emerging from a difficult phase in his campaign, including the firing of campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, anemic fundraising and widespread blowback from his party over his labeling of an Indiana-born federal judge as “Mexican” and therefore biased in his Trump University legal proceedings.

The 12-point Clinton advantage would suggest those controversies have badly damaged Trump—but the 5-point lead would indicate he’d survived the last month largely unscathed.

Another example of the widely differing results: When third-party choices like Libertarian Gary Johnson are factored in, the Washington Post/ABC News poll showed Clinton still ahead by 10 points, while her lead shrank to 1 point in the Wall Street Journal/NBC News survey.

Tweeted Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort: “I prefer NBC/WSJ poll.”

The Washington Post/ABC News poll found a number of troubling signs for Trump.

Of those polled, 61% said Clinton is qualified to be president, while 64% said Trump is not qualified.

By a better than two-to-one margin, voters said Clinton, not Trump, has a better personality and temperament to serve as president. While 50% said the idea of Clinton as president makes them anxious, 70% said the same of Trump.

And while Clinton’s use of a private email server is damaging — 56% said they disapprove of how she’s handling questions about it — Trump has been more severely damaged by controversies surrounding him: 66% say they think he’s unfairly biased against minorities; 68% said his attacks on the judge were racist; and 59% disapprove of the way he has handled questions about Trump University.

The Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll found Clinton with huge leads among minorities — besting Trump 87% to 5% among African-Americans and 69% to 22% with Latinos.

She leads with women, 52% to 35%, while Trump holds the edge among white voters at 49% to 37%; men, 48% to 38%; and independents, 40% to 30%.

“The fact that Donald Trump had a really bad period and he went down just a few points indicates that it will be difficult for either candidate to break out given the hard-set division in the electorate,” Fred Yang, a Democratic pollster who conducted the poll with Republican pollster Bill McInturff, told The Wall Street Journal.

The Washington Post/ABC News poll surveyed 1,001 adults between June 20-23 with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.

The Wall Street Journal/NBC poll surveyed 1,000 registered voters between June 19-23 with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1 percentage points.

  • The First Amendment is only possible because of the second.

Unbelievable. Even after everything that has been exposed about Hillary and Bill people still think she can lead American.
Hillary is all about money and power. She doesn’t give a damn about America.
Yeah Trump has a big mouth but at least he loves America.

Absolute hogwash. This is the media’s attempt to sway the public. Sorry, it won’t work. America knows, full welll how evil and corrupt Hillary is…and how she will NEVER get close to the White House again unless she takes a tour. And even then, we don’t really want her in there. Trump may have his faults, but he is a true American, a patriotic American, who wants nothing but good for us. Hillary is for Hillary. Plain and simple.

If you want Globalist dominance then you should vote for Hillary Clinton, and her long list of Internationalists (Profiteers) that live like parasites on your sweat and blood money? Bill Clinton signed up for NAFTA, which the Globalists have sold out our auto industry. Madam Clinton got involved with the latest disaster for the workers of America, known as the TransPacific Partnership (TPP) which takes hundreds of thousands of jobs offshore to Asian countries. Cheap labor is pouring into America, that Obama has refused to stop his Global policy of open borders. As for the Refugee invasion from the Middle East, while 92 million people remain unemployed (people who have stopped looking are counted) we are going to pay for their housing, welfare and cash payments. Clinton has already informed us, she is going to add another 550 percent to the first 100.000 on Obamas watch. Never mind the imminent danger of ISIS terrorists who have infiltrated these people.

YOU HAVE TO ACCEPT THAT THE NATIONAL PRESS LIES AND PUSH PROPAGANDA, AND YOU NEED TO USE YOUR INTELLIGENCE AND WATCHED THE UNPREJUDICED NEWS REPORTS. “ONE AMERICAN NEWS NETWORK http://www.oann.com THAT REMAINS UNBIASED AND ACTUALLY TELLS THE TRUTH. BIG NEWSPAPERS ARE RUN BY SPECIAL INTERESTS. THE MEDIA ARE NOT GOING TO SHIFT THE ENTHUSIASM FOR TRUMP, NO MATTER HOW MUCH THEY TAKE OUT OF CONTEXT HIS WORDS. This is a definite as they have used all sorts of ways to ban me, and in the Liberal Press. Facebook dropped me, CNN censored me. However I started my own Twitter account, with a huge following of quiet movie stars and personages.

Not written by me, but sums up Hillary Clinton’s Lies, deceit and loss of integrity who has taken $150 million dollars from Muslim countries, where death to women or gays is an everyday occurrence.

    1. Madam Hillary Clinton boasted “I remember landing [in Bosnia] under sniper fire,” In fact, a video of the trip shows Hillary, and her daughter Chelsea being greeted at the peaceful airport in Tuzla, Bosnia, by a young girl with flowers.
    2. Hillary complained that she and her husband left the White House “dead broke.” In fact, they left with contracts for lecture and speeches worth between $20 and $30 million.
    3. As a junior senator, Hillary voted to authorize the war in Iraq. But when the war became unpopular, she flip-flopped and opposed the surge in Iraq. Later she admitted she did so purely out of political expediency—she wanted to gain advantage over Barack Obama in the 2008 Democrat primary.
    4. When Hillary was running for the 2008 Democrat nomination, she told the editorial board of the Nashua Telegraph, a leading New Hampshire newspaper, that she favored a plan to give driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants. She later claimed she never said that.
    5. Hillary approved an unethical—and probably illegal—sweetheart deal for her closest aide Huma Abedin. It allowed Huma to receive a $135,000-a-year- salary from the State Department, while she was being paid as a member of the board of the Clinton Foundation, and worked as a $335,00o-a-year outside consultant to a firm founded by a Bill Clinton crony named Doug Band.
    6. Hillary refused to designate the notorious al Qaeda-linked Nigerian Islamist group Boko Haram as a terrorist organization because a major contributor to the Clinton Foundation, who had business interests in Nigeria, asked her not to.
    7. Hillary voted to approve the sale of 20 percent of the uranium production capacity in the United States to a Russian company.
    8. Hillary intervened to fix a problem that UBS, a giant of the Swiss banking industry, was having with the IRS. She did so because UBS had donated $600,000 to the Clinton Foundation and paid Bill Clinton $1.5 million for a series of speeches.
    9. Hillary lied about Benghazi. She e-mailed her daughter Chelsea that the attack on the consulate was caused by al-Qaeda elements, but she told the families of the four dead Americans and the American people that it was caused by a video.
    10. Hillary lied numerous times about her e-mails.
    a) She said it wasn’t convenient to carry two phones, so she carried only one with her private e-mail account. Not true. She had multiple electronic devices, including another BlackBerry and an iPad. And not incidentally, her aide Huma Abedin, not Hillary, carried the phone.
    b) She said she turned over her emails because of a routine State Department request. Not true. The e-mails were subpoenaed by the Benghazi committee.
    c) She said she turned over all her work-related e-mails. Not true. Missing from the 30,000 e-mails were contacts with Sidney Blumenthal, Tony Blair, and CIA director David Petraeus, among others.
    d) She said that among the 33,000 “private” e-mails that she deleted were communications with her husband. Not true. Bill Clinton said that he had sent a grand total of two e-mails in his life.
    e) She said she did not e-mail any classified material. Not true. The Inspector General of the intelligence community found that Hillary received and sent many classified e-mails, including those relating to the North Korean nuclear program.
    f) In a letter to Representative Trey Gowdy, the chairman of the House Select Committee investigating the deadly terrorist attacks in Benghazi, Hillary said that the only private e-mail address she ever used while secretary of state was hdr22@clintonemail.com. Not true. In fact, she had a second e-mail address, HRod17@clintonemail.com, and didn’t tell Gowdy about it.
    g) She kept her second e-mail address secret because she used it in secret exchanges with Sidney Blumenthal, who was acting as her back channel on Libya.

Anybody who feels the The Washington Post and ABC News can produce an unbiased result should do a little research as both are nothing more than propaganda machines for the Democrats. You can bet that the sampling in this “poll” doesn’t reflect the makeup of the voting public in general and is heavily weighted to show that Hillary is favored among Democrats. An impartial survey? No way.
