First look at the holiday weekend weather

West Michigan — It’s still a ways out, but the holiday weekend weather looks dry and warm.


A weak front will move through the state Thursday night with a small chance of showers and thunderstorms. Slightly cooler air is expected behind the front with sunshine by Friday afternoon.

Warmer air will move in for the rest of the weekend with plenty of sunshine. Highs will start in the around 80 , climbing to the mid 80s by July 4th.

If you’re planning to travel north for the holiday, the weather looks dry with highs in the 70s to lower 80s.
