OVID TOWNSHIP, Mich- A 23-year-old woman from Concord was injured Monday afternoon after the Jet Ski she was on exploded.
Police say her watercraft stalled on Coldwater Lake around 12:30 p.m. Investigators say when she tried to restart the Jet Ski, it exploded, sending her into the water.
The victim was able to make it to shore where she was treated by an off-duty doctor.
The cause of the blast remains under investigation.
The Branch County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by the Lakeland Fire Department, Lifecare Ambulance and the Michigan DNR.
