WYOMING, Mich. - Court records show the suspect in Tuesday morning's crime spree is a Grand Rapids man with a history of minor traffic and theft offenses.

Casey Marvin, 34, is in custody, expected to be charged Thursday on felony counts of arson, burglary and vehicle theft.

Marvin is accused leading police on a trail of fires and vehicle thefts Tuesday morning.  The first fire destroyed GS Fireworks on 44th Street.  From there, a caller said that a man had set a fire on the deck of an apartment in the 1500 block of 44th Street and then stole a vehicle.  After crashing that vehicle, the suspect tried to get into two homes on Oriole SW.  At the second one, he tried to start a fire and then stole another vehicle.  After a chase on Burlingame Avenue, police were able to stop him at 36th Street.

No one was injured in the incidents. Police do not know the suspect's motive.

We'll have more details as they become available.
