KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Kalamazoo FC soccer team will be dedicating its final game of the season to the family of a teen killed in February.

The Kalamazoo FC has reached out to the Kalamazoo Strong Organization and will dedicate the game and raise money for the Tyler Smith Scholarship Fund.

Tyler Smith was one of six people killed in a shooting spree on February 20 at three locations in the Kalamazoo area.  Tyler was a senior at Mattawan High School.  Tyler’s father, Richard, was also killed in the shooting while they were together at a dealership, looking at new cars.

The game is at 6:00pm, Sunday, July 10 against AFC Ann Arbor.  The team plays at Mayors Riverfront Park at 251 Mills Street.

Kalamazoo Strong is donating t-shirts for the teams to wear during practice Saturday and before the game on Sunday.
