The kids may be out of school, but that shouldn't be an excuse for them to stop reading. Reward them to read and continue learning throughout their summer vacation with the Kent District Library's summer reading program.

Summer Reading at KDL is the most popular summer reading program of any public library in Michigan. The program is an important step in helping prevent summer reading loss by providing programs and activities that encourage children to learn while they're out of school for the summer.

There are reading activities and prizes for kids, teens, and adults.  KDL also has an exciting line-up of free summer programs like The Village Puppeteers, Magic with Tim Plunkard, DIY Spa for Teens, Adding Color to Your Garden, and more.

This year's reading program runs until Saturday, August 13.
