Woman charged with trying to poison co-workers in Montague

MUSKEGON, Mich. – A North Muskegon woman has been charged with trying to poison her co-workers.

Christine Bays, 34, is accused of putting acetone in a soft drink while at Chassix in Montague in March.  Muskegon County Assistant Prosecutor Tim Maat tells FOX 17 that she allegedly believed her co-workers would consume the drink.

She is charged with poisoning food, drink, medicine or water supply with a possibly injury and faces potentially 15 years in prison.  The motive for her alleged actions is not known.
