GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.— The Grand Rapids Police Department is making some changes this weekend in reaction to the attack on police in Dallas.

According to GRPD, the department will be staffing two officers in every patrol car through the weekend.  This will be in effect for all shifts.  Officers are usually in a patrol car alone.

The department says this is out of an abundance of caution for the safety of their officers.  We are told they will re-evaluate this change on Monday morning.

Sorry, the weekend should be expanded to cover 365 days a year. Hire manpower to make up for the loss in staffing from the last ten years.

The city is going to hire more police officers. They won’t be competent because our new Chief want the city police force to be racial balanced. But you can’t have everything.

It’s too bad we can’t have a new Police Chief . Someone with Chief Harry Dolan believes and ethics.
