WEST MICHIGAN — No injuries were reported after at least 10 people were reportedly swept off piers along the Lake Michigan shoreline over the weekend.
The US Coast Guard confirms all the incidents occurred on Sunday. The Coast Guard said they assisted with at least one of the rescues.
Beach Hazards advisories had been issued for most of the day Sunday with three to five foot waves pounding the shoreline all day.
