State police cruiser struck, suspect flees

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Police are searching for the person who they say crashed a vehicle into a Michigan State Police cruiser during an attempted traffic stop Tuesday evening.

The incident happened near Grandville Avenue and Shamrock.   Grand Rapids Police say the suspect struck the MSP patrol car with their vehicle and then fled on foot.

No one was injured.

A police K-9 unit was called to the scene to help with the search.
