KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- An 8-year-old girl from Kalamazoo is trying to help send a World War II veteran to Washington D.C.

Izzy is selling lemonade, hoping to raise at least $500 for the Talons Out Honor Flight.   The stand will give the veteran the chance to visit the World War II Memorial in D.C.

She says she's doing it simply because she likes helping people out.   She operated the 'Lemon Aid' stand on Lakewood Drive in Kalamazoo on Friday and will be reopening it Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.

You can find more information on the Izzy's Lemon Aid Facebook page.
