CHESTER TWP., Mich. – A man is dead after an early morning crash Tuesday.

Ottawa County deputies say that a resident found a vehicle crashed into a ditch at the intersection of Coolidge and 40th Avenue at about 6:30am.

Investigators believe that Gricel Ramirez, 32, was driving the 2001 GMC Yukon west on Coolidge and did not stop at the stop sign at 40th Avenue and went into the ditch.  They say he was not wearing a seat belt and that alcohol is suspected to have been a factor in the crash.  Ramirez was pronounced dead at the scene.
