WEST MICHIGAN — As expected, fog developed early this morning and is creating visibilities as low as a quarter mile in some spots. All the heavy rainfall that we had yesterday combined with clear skies allowing temperatures to drop to the dew point. This is giving us saturation at the low levels, and fog is the result. Here is a look at current visibilities:

With high pressure moving into the area from the west, we expect partly cloudy skies today. The partial sunshine will warm temperatures and allow the fog to burn off shortly after 9 AM in most areas. However, there is still enough low level moisture for a few sprinkles to pop up this afternoon. Future Track HD picks up on this:

Other than that, the day looks dry. A much nicer day to enjoy the outdoors than yesterday.

Our next low pressure system will move through the Ohio Valley Monday night into Tuesday morning. This will bring us another chance of showers and thunderstorms. It’s possible that this system will pass to our south, but at this point it looks like it will trek close enough to us for at least a chance of rain.
