OTTAWA COUNTY, Mich. – Police are searching for the people who they believe are responsible for several larcenies and even a car theft where the vehicle was set on fire.

The Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office said around 6:30 a.m. Sunday deputies responded to a report of a vehicle fire on 68th Avenue, south of Allendale High School.

Police found a 2004 Ford Expedition fully engulfed in flames and later discovered the vehicle was reported stolen. Authorities also received reports of several larcenies of wallets and electronics in the Marne area where a second vehicle was reportedly stolen.

Police said a 2004 gray or silver 4-door Volvo sedan S-60 model has not been recovered. The vehicle has a license plate of DSS0826.

There are no leads on possible suspects at this time.
