Police: Woman, 55, killed in domestic violence attack
BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — Battle Creek Police say a 55-year-old woman has died after a domestic violence incident.
Police were called to the 600 block of E. Michigan Avenue at about 4:30 a.m. Monday after a report that the woman suffered head injuries during the assault.
The woman was transported to the hospital and later died.
A 61-year-old man was initially arrested for domestic violence but is now facing a homicide charge, according to a release from police.
The victim’s name was not released. The suspect will be identified after he is formally arraigned.
