UPDATE: Incident cleared:
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Southbound US-131 at I-196 was shut down due to a crash Wednesday night.
The crash happened around 11:30 p.m. Police say it all started as a domestic incident on the northwest side of town, and the suspect driving away from the scene. That individual then crashed into a vehicle on SB US-131 at I-196. There were no major injuries, and the suspect was taken into custody. The resulting investigation kept the road closed for several hours.
