Car hit by train in Battle Creek

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. - Rescue crews have pulled a man from a car that was hit by a train Thursday morning.

Witnesses say that the crash happened at the train crossing of Kendall Street near West Dickman Road.  The train dragged the car nearly to Washington Avenue.

Battle Creek Police tell us that one man suffered minor injuries in the crash.  He was the only person in the vehicle.

The crash happened at about 8:15am. The man was extricated from the vehicle by about 8:40am.
