FERNDALE, Mich. (AP) — Police in suburban Detroit are investigating an apparent murder-suicide involving a 39-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man.
Ferndale police say they found the woman dead in the backyard of her home about 5 a.m. Sunday after receiving a telephone call from a family member of Matthew Bush. The caller told police Bush said he had strangled the woman and then taken a large amount of drugs to kill himself.
Police found Bush at his home in Hazel Park, apparently dead of a drug overdose.
Police are continuing to investigate, including trying to determine the relationship between the two. The name of the woman has not been released.
