100 mph winds in Kent County during weekend storms

KENT COUNTY, Mich. — The National Weather Service reports straight-line wind damage from Saturday storms estimated at 100 mph. The tornado that moved through parts of Wyoming and Grandville was rated a EF-0  with winds of 65 to 75 mph.

A small area of wind damage caused by estimated 100 mph winds was found near M6 between Ivanrest Avenue  SW and Kenowa Avenue SW.

Notable locations that were impacted by straight-line winds include Maple Hill Golf Course and Pinery Park.

Right now, the National Weather Service reports four tornadoes occurred on Saturday, but that number may change.
