This means winds reached anywhere from 65 miles per hour to 110 miles per hour at the peak of those storms.

2. U.S. swimmer Ryan Lochte has issued an apology for the robbery scandal that's overshadowed the last several days of the Summer Olympics in Rio.

He also appeared on Brazil national TV Saturday, saying he'd exaggerated his story but insisted he did not lie.

Goodwill of greater Grand Rapids is partnering with Garage Bar and Grill, for a garage sale, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. tonight.

The event will feature a silent auction of 50 items, including bikes, brewery tours and modern furniture.

There will also be a free buffet and live music, covered by a donation of five items or $5 for admission.

Goodwill was founded in 1966; it offers employment and training programs to assist those with barriers to employment.

4. Vintage and classic cars have hit the road out of the east side of the state and are heading our way!

This was the 22nd year for the event. Coming up this weekend, West Michigan is having its own event that's all about cars, the 28th Street Metro Cruise.

It's going on Friday and Saturday.

5. The Chinese Embassy in Washington D.C. just celebrated a very special birthday.

The embassy threw the bash at the National Park Zoo to celebrate Bei-Bei the giant panda, who turned one.

There was a traditional Chinese ceremony, where Bei-Bei's mother chose one item among three symbolic objects as a way of foretelling the future of her cub.

She ended up choosing a banner which represents friendship and luck.

The zoo's staff also prepared a gigantic birthday cake which was a frozen fruit-layered dessert!

Bei-Bei is the third giant panda to be born at the National Zoo.
