Buddha is a three year old Pug and Terrier mix looking for his forever home. He's a wiggly guy who is excited to meet new people, and would do best in a home with respectful children.

To adopt Buddha or another animal, visit the Humane Society of West Michigan or call (616) 453-8900.

The HSWMI is having a fundraiser today at Family video on 1263 Burton Street Southwest, Wyoming. There will be face painting, treats, and plenty of dogs up for adoption. The event goes from 2-6 p.m.

There will be another fundraiser later in October, Bark in the Dark. It's a glow-in-the-dark 5K fun run and walk with all funds benefiting the Humane Society of West Michigan. Bring your dog, and enjoy a nice stroll through the park while supporting a good cause. You can click here to register.

Bark in the Dark is happening on Saturday October 8 at 6:30 p.m. at Riverside Park.
