DECATUR TOWNSHIP, Mich. — The Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department say its officers arrested two felony fugitives Friday night for outstanding warrants, possession of multiple firearms, drugs, and child abuse and neglect.

Officers responded to the 39000 block of 76th Avenue and found several subjects on the property.

Police arrested Walter Hoytt Nicks, 35, and Nina Louise Sparks, 57, both from Decatur. Both had outstanding warrants in Van Buren County and Sparks also had an outstanding warrant in Kalamazoo.

Deputies say they found evidence of various firearms along with meth and marijuana.  A stolen pop-up camper was also found on the property. Police say it was being used to conceal the wanted felons. Police say pills and meth were also inside the camper.

A second camper was found on the property with several guns and ammunition inside that were “in direct reach of two convicted felons,” according to the Sheriff’s Department.

Police say  a small child was living in one of the trailers where meth was found. Child Protective Services is now investigating.

Deputies eventually executed a search warrant for the property and found several additional firearms, one of which was stolen out of Detroit in addition to more ammunition, meth, and other drug paraphernalia.

Stolen street signs from Allegan County were also found on the property.

The following suspects were also arrested on felony charges but their names have not been released:

  • 27-year-old woman from Decatur
  • 32-year-old man from Decatur
  • 40-year-old male from Decatur
  • 44-year-old female from Decatur
