Davenport football shows promise in programs first game

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.-- Davenport played the first game in program history on Saturday, losing 41-28 to Taylor.  The Panthers, a team of mostly freshman and red-shirt freshman held their own against a team that was nationally ranked a year ago.  Davenport will play its first road game on Saturday, Sept. 3 at Kentucky Christian.
