DETROIT — An off-duty Highland Park police officer was shot overnight, according to WJBK FOX 2 in Detroit.
It happened around 2 a.m. Sunday in the 19000 block of Teppert St. on Detroit’s east side.
The officer, who has not been named, underwent emergency surgery and is said to be in critical but stable condition.
Police have not released any information on the suspect.
