Former Ferris State quarterback Jason Vander Laan was cut by the New York Jets on Sunday.  Vander Laan was a two-time winner of the Harlon Hill Trophy, as the best college football player in NCAA II.  Vander Laan signed with the Jets as an undfrafted free-agent during the spring.  There is still a chance Vander Laan could be re-signed to the team's practice squad.
